Title: Good News for Poor Performers and Splendid Sinners
Date: December 4, 2011
Size: 27.5 MB
Luke 1:5-20; Pastor Duncan reminded us that on our best day, we are merely poor performers and splendid sinners. He then shared with us that the Bible is filled with poor performers and splendid sinners. In fact, God is pleased with our poor performances because He does not focus on the action as much as on the heart. In the text for today, Zechariah was a righteous man before God yet he doubted that God could do what He claimed . . . he was a poor performer. However God worked through him to accomplish His purpose. In the same way God works through our poor performances to display His glory and even though our righteousness is made up of splendid sin, God's grace is sufficient for even that.
